Main Arc - Agent of Heaven: 2-23-2009
Yesterday's Winning Vote:
Option 1 – Accept the archangel's offer.
You step towards the portal, buying time to think as a small kernel of doubt forms in your mind. How do you know what this archangel's agenda really is? How can you trust someone who won't even tell you his name? These thoughts tumble through your mind at a rapid pace--until the archangel raises an eyebrow questioningly. It's then that you realize what you must do and why. No, you don't know this archangel's name or plan, but you are absolutely certain of his association with the Divine. He IS an angel, and you decide to have faith in him because of that.
You nod at the heavenly being, and he smiles broadly at you. It's then that a strange realization washes over you: this is, without a doubt, the first time you have ever fully placed your faith in something. The archangel continues to smile at you for a moment as you pause in contemplation. When that moment began to stretch a little too far, he blinks once, and the world dissolves into white as you are sucked into the portal. Sensation starts to disappear from your body until your smiling lips are the last thing you can feel.

You can't hear or feel a thing, but your eyes jerk open to the sensation of rapid deceleration. The infinite whiteness surrounds you in all directions, completely unremarkable. You lose track of how many times you have spun around when your eyes land on a small black circle growing larger as it nears you. A glint on the circle from some unseen light source defines the circle as a monocle. Squinting hard, you finally make out that the monocle is attached to a large rabbit standing upright and hopping towards you...in red sequined high heels, a rattlesnake-skin vest, and a blue hat with a massive feather coming out of it.
The rabbit hops up to you and narrows his monocled eye. "Highly dubious," he says.
The world disappears as your mind dissolves into white.

You stumble out of the weapon's cabinet back into the clinic. A sharp causes you to gasp. Reaching down you pull a jagged shard of metal from your knee. Glancing at the shard and wondering why it would be on the floor of the clinic, you see a reflection of a razor-toothed jaw opening behind you.
