Option 1 – Let the officers in.

"I'm coming, I'm coming," you say, hastily trying to come up with something, anything that will explain the torso decorating your floor.

Undoing the multiple latches and locks, you open the door. Two smiling officers step into your room.

"I"m sorry to bother you, sir," the short, blonde officer tells you. "We got a few noise complaints from the building and wondered if you've heard anything?"

"Uhhhhh, n-no?" you stutter.

"That's good, that's good. Could we get your name, please?" the taller officer asks.

"Ummm...my name is..."

"Thanks. That's all we need. Stay in touch if you hear anything, OK?"

"Yeah, sure."

The tall officer looks around your apartment. "Lovely place you've got here. That giant teddy bear is a nice touch."

The two officers step back out into the hallway and merrily walk down the hallway to question your neighbors. You slam the door behind them and collapse against it gasping.
