Winning Vote:
Option 2 – Scream into the darkness.

You're stuck in a dark room under a church of scythe-wielding ushers, and you appear to be suffering the ambiguously gendered parent of all strokes—screaming seems like a good idea.

A low pressure begins to build at the crown of your head, steadily growing larger. The pressure blossoms into pain and spreads into your shoulders. The lack of visual clues draws out the time it takes you to realize that your head is being rammed slowly into the ceiling. A shaking floor and snapping stones from the compressed arch are your only sensory clues as to what's happening.

Dropping to your knees, the pain is relieved enough that you can stop screaming—and the floor stops moving. Dust kicked up from the partially crushed walls knocks you into a coughing fit, but you are most definitely alive.

“Thank God,” you whisper. In response, somewhere down the corridor, a muffled voice screams.

And the floor begins to shake.
