Your vision is blurred as you attempt to open your eyes. You reach up to wipe the sweat out of your eyes, but your sleeve comes away bloody. Jolted by a knock at the door, you sit up suddenly only to wince in pain as light from the open window reaches your eyes.

The knocking becomes more insistent. "Let us in."

You shuffle towards the door but only make it part way before tripping. Looking back, a dismembered torso smiles at you through gashes carved into its chest. You are now fully awake.

The knocking becomes louder, and the door seems about to splinter. "We're the police. Let us in."
