Option 2 – The right door.

The knob turns hesitantly with a crackle of grit in its workings. A solid twist to the right and a step forward drops you into what looks like an ancient sewer at first glance. Large, slate-grey blocks of stone make up the floor and curve up from there to a point just inches above your head. While you figure that you're at about the right depth for a sewer, the dryness of your feet speaks to the likelihood of other possibilities. Strangely, your curiosity is not piqued at all.

The door slams shut behind you, cutting off the only source of light. The muffled whispers of Mr. Williams still drift through the wood. You know that if you press your ear up to the door that you will be able to hear them perfectly. Unsurprisingly, your curiosity is not piqued at all.

You take a step blindly into the dark...except that you don't. Both feet are rooted firmly to the floor. Lifting each leg upward does nothing. Pulling with your hands moves nothing. You start to feel a bit concerned—alone, in the dark, immobile—and your feet are free! And moving to the left!

*crack!*

You feel a bit dazed, but nothing feels broken more than it was ten minutes ago. Your legs are still involuntarily moving to the left. Worried but knowing that this probably isn't the place to think about it, you...
